Policies & Common Questions
Parties are booked on a first-come, first-serve basis. The further in advance you book, the more likely you are to secure your date and time. Many clients book six weeks in advance or more. Sometimes we do have last-minute availability. Contact us to find out!
A request for a quote or party submitted via the website does not constitute a finalized booking for your event. Once you submit the full details of your event, you will be issued a contract, including your party's cost. Once you sign and return the contract along with any required deposit, your party will be officially booked!
Your event may require a non-refundable deposit to finalize its booking.
Payment is due in full at the completion of the entertainer's performance, and can be submitted prior to the party date. We accept cash or check at the party or Paypal payments prior to the party date. Performers do not carry change. Gratuity is not included in the final price, but is greatly appreciated by performers. For cash and check payments, we suggest walking your performer to the front door after they have said goodbye to the children and subtly turning in the payment in an envelope to preserve the magic for any children that may see the transaction.
PDE strictly provides entertainment. Performers are not responsible for children's behavior, and an adult must be present in the party area at all times. PDE performers take great care in respecting the party venue, but can not be held responsible for accidental damage caused by a guest or held liable if any children are injured during an event. Further, PDE performers have the right to leave an event early if they feel their safety or integrity is jeopardized. Finally, if any damage is done to PDE costumes or supplies, the client may be held responsible for replacement fees.
Inappropriate comments by adult guests are not tolerated and result immediately in the performer's departure from the event and payment for the party's cost will still be due in full.
Base package rates are calculated for venues within 25 miles of our studio location in Adrian, MI. Additional travel will incur a $.55 per mile additional charge round trip. Thank you for understanding how hard our princesses work and how far they must travel to make magic for little ones in all kingdoms!
Packages & Activities:
Activities performed at your event are subject to change. Performers come prepared to complete the scheduled package and activities within the allocated time. However, as performers do their best to accommodate all guests and requests, they can not be held responsible if not all activities are completed in the case of extraneous circumstances. If the birthday child prefers games over story time, we will play games to make their experience the best ever!
What if you don't offer the character/princess I want?
We are adding new characters all the time! Send us a message regarding what character you are looking for, and we will do our best to accommodate your request!
I'm concerned the activities won't entertain all of the children.
Our performers are trained to be flexible to excite all children at a party, and our activities are designed to be engaging for children of all ages, genders, and interests!
Do you entertain outdoors?
We do! However, the princesses require a shaded area in which to perform, such as a gazebo or tent. In case of extreme temperatures, please have an indoor space prepared for activities. Our gowns can get very warm, and performer safety is a priority for us! If poor weather offers risk to our gowns or wigs, we reserve the right to cancel, but will avoid this at all costs. Please contact us if you have any venue concerns.
What do I need to provide?
Princesses arrive with all the materials they need to complete activities. We only ask that clients provide an open space that will fit the princess and all party guests for games, stories, and singing. If your package includes face painting or mini makeovers, please have a table and two chairs available; one for the princess and one for the guest getting face paint or makeup. The table can be small- your princess just needs a place to set the face paint and/or makeup!
When will the princess arrive?
We suggest you book your performer to arrive a half hour or so after your party's start time so that activities are not interrupted by arriving guests or timing issues. Our performers are trained to manage their time perfectly, and therefore cannot stop a different activity to bring out face paint, balloons, or makeup supplies if a guest arrives late and misses an activity.
Can the princess help with opening presents or singing a birthday song during cake?
Absolutely! Let us know before your event, or tell your princess early when she arrives, and she would be happy to accommodate your request! Just keep in mind that this may shorten the time she spends with other activities so that she can fit everything into the length of party you select.
What if I have to cancel?
If appropriate notice is given, we are happy to reschedule for you as best we can. Please keep in mind that any deposit is non-refundable.
